A Town That Serves

Blackstone’s Hometown Heroes banner program is now in its fifth year. So many families have sponsored banners for their loved one who served in the military that banners now hang on side streets adjoining Main Street as well as Church Street, College Avenue, and 4th Street (lower right) near the Inn at Blackstone. A total of 133 banners have been purchased since the program began in 2020. Town Clerk Jennifer Daniel says 100-120 are displayed this year.

This year’s cost was $110. The price changes based on the number being ordered.

Not all banners are hung, some families keep them for personal displays. For more info. about the program, email: or call Clerk Daniel at 434-292- 7251, ext. 240.
