POLICE, EMTs RESPOND

Woman reportedly slashes wrists

Monday morning (Nov. 10th) got off to a concerning start for Nottoway law enforcement and EMTs.

It was 12:08 a.m. when dispatchers received a call that a woman was suicidal and had slashed her wrists — but fortunately not severely. There was also a child in the home, according to reports.

Sheriff Robert Jones said deputies and EMS responded to a residence off of Edgewood Lane west of Blackstone and that the woman was transported by ambulance to an area hospital.
