Self-exploration for Christians

Dear Sir:

You claim to be a Christian, but do you live like it?

Galatians 5:14-15 suggests, “For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.”

If we were to ask your neighbor or spouse if you’re a “Christian,” what would they say? Do you love your neighbor as yourself?

Or would they say you’re someone consumed by a heart of hate from events that took place decades ago before you were even born? If you’re known to hate your brother and sister, or are prone to fits of rage and dissension or violent outbursts against your neighbors in the public square, maybe you’re not a Christian after all.
