Courier-Record Readers Express Their Opinions

Dear Sir:

In regard to last week’s story, “YOU WILL BE VERY FRIGHTENED,” a Nothing Tree does nothing.

It does not provide shade, food, or shelter. It does not sequester carbon, create oxygen, or regenerate the soil. It cannot add beauty or tranquility to a setting.

However, I would imagine that Nothing Trees would build a pretty spectacular home for the person choosing to plant them.

The Trash Collectors (bushes at the medical center) should perhaps be thought of as a blessing and not a curse. Suppose if the energy spent removing bushes that collect the trash, could instead be spent picking-up the trash.
