U.S. SENATE: PROFILES IN COWARDICE

Where is America’s outrage?

The Senate’s cowardly failure to convict Donald Trump should be a concern for all Americans.

Trump’s reaction to his partisan acquittal was very predictable of a President who now believes his behavior has no limits.

The Democratic House of Representatives made a clear case of Trump using his Presidential authority to benefit himself. He attempted to force the President of Ukraine to become a de facto surrogate of Trump and fabricate and disseminate suspicions about Joe Biden and his son in order for Ukraine to receive critical armament to defend against Russian (read: Putin, the leader Trump believes over our own intelligence agencies) aggression.

This attempt to extort a fallacious investigation cannot be reasonably denied. Everyone who testified -- including Trump’s own ambassador who led the extortion attempt -- acknowledged this.
