Prestigious UVA scholarship for ‘17 Salutatorian

Kenston Forest School has announced that senior Rheyanna Leigh Clemens, the Class of 2017 Salutatorian, has been awarded the University Achievement Award Scholarship at the University of Virginia.

Miss Clemens was accepted to UVA in January and will attend in the Fall of 2017 in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.

Miss Clemens, who has attended KFS since Kindergarten, serves as the school’s Student Government Association (SGA) President and National Honor Society Vice-President and is involved in other comlowing conditions: (1) have a history of overcoming disadvantage; (2) be a first generation college student; (3) be a member of an underrepresented minority or ethnic group; (4) be a member of a lowincome family; (5) reside in a rural or inner-city location; (6) have been raised in a single parent household.
