Marjorie Powers of Kenbridge was five-monthsold when she received a toy Santa, reindeer, and Christmas tree for her first Christmas.
That was one hundred and two Christmases ago -- back in December 1916 -- and Mrs. Powers still has that special toy, which caregiver Tina Daniels recently photographed.
At 102, Mrs. Powers still has a sharp mind. She says the toy is still in good condition (except for the reindeer missing its antlers, because “my mother wouldn’t let me play with it.”
