Also: educators enjoy road trip to Lewis Ginter

Members of Tau Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma decided to broaden their knowledge by inviting a young French student to speak at their November meeting and by visiting Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens in early December. Both experiences proved rather enlightening.


Louis Bertet, a foreign exchange student from Bordeaux, France, shared much about his school, the subjects he studies, length of the school year, and his relationships with teachers.

He said he finds classes and subjects in the United States to be “very easy.”

The schedule in France is more structured and devoted to classroom instruction. Pep rallies and other such activities are not part of their school day at all, Louis explained, but he enjoys such activities.
