Ladies In The Heart Of Lunenburg
Lucy “Cookie” Currin (first row, 2nd from right) of Lunenburg, President of the host Meherrin Chapter of Colonial Dames XVII Century, welcomed Liz Gielow (first row, far left) of Clarksville, President of the John Goode Chapter, to a recent joint meeting of the two groups.
The meeting was held recently at Waverly Estate, an antebellum home, wedding and special events venue, and bed and breakfast located in the heart of Lunenburg Court House. While at this delightful location, members of both chapters enjoyed lunch and learned about the history of the house from author and historian June Banks Evans.
