LATE FACULTY MEMBER HONORED
The main office at Kenston Forest has been formally named in memory of a longtime teacher who also served as an administrator and was an ardent supporter of the independent school for nearly four decades.
The Nell C. Irby Administrative Office was dedicated Friday evening, October 11th, in a brief ceremony on the front lawn shortly before the School’s Homecoming football game.
Kenston Head of School Lori Bacon presided over the ceremony, which included a presentation of a resolution by Charles Butts, Jr., Chairman of the Lunenburg-Nottoway Educational Foundation.
Guest speakers included Blackstone Mayor Billy Coleburn (Class of 1986) and former teachers Mrs. Sarah Quicke Brickley, and Mrs. Cookie Currin.
