CREWE MAYOR NOT GIVING UP
Last year in Nottoway County, Virginia Lottery players spent a total of $6,850,412 trying to strike it rich, up from $6.59 million in fiscal year 2017.
“This is untaxed money drained from our local economies,” said Crewe Mayor Greg Eanes, who filed a FOIA request to obtain the state numbers and shared it with local media. “It undermines and is detrimental to the growth of our local, rural economies.”
