Defense Act means new name for Pickett

COMMISSION TO OVERSEE THREE-YEAR PROCESS
It’s known as one of the U. S. military’s best training sites on the East Coast, but Fort Pickett also will become known by a new name.
The National Defense Authorization Act, which last week survived President Trump’s veto, includes language that requires all bases named after Confederate soldiers to be renamed within three years.
