FEWER SPOTS FOR PATRIOT SQUARE
90-UNIT COMPLEX PLANNED FOR OLD VFW PARK
Blackstone’s Board of Zoning Appeals has approved a request for fewer parking spaces at an apartment complex, “Patriot Square,” being planned for the old VFW Park.
The unanimous vote came during the Board’s meet-ing last Monday, June 1st in Council chambers.
The 90-unit development will be built in phases on the five-acre site and will include two-story and three-story buildings, project engineer Gerald Hooton of B&B Consultants told the Board.
Town Manager Philip Vannoorbeeck reminded board members and the audience that Town ordinance requires two off-street spaces for every apartment.
