GRAHAM J. MARTIN, 39 Charged in Nottoway, Amelia counties

Armed Amelia resident ends crime spree

Armed with a knife, a Nottoway County man allegedly carjacked a Spainville Road resident and then -- 10 minutes later -- broke into a home on Rt. 153 in Amelia County, where the resident held him at gunpoint until police arrived.

The series of alleged events began around 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning in Nottoway County.

According to Nottoway Sheriff Larry Parrish, it was 4:13 a.m. when a Spainville Road man reported that his 1996 Honda Accord had been taken at knifepoint.

Parrish said the victim reported that three subjects -- one that the victim identified as 39-year-old Graham Jeremy Martin of Poplar Lawn Road -- came to his residence at 2:30 a.m. “They talked for a while, and one of the subjects asked the victim for a ride to his home in Amelia.”
