Developer, Town to share cost of three-phase connection

Blackstone Town Council has agreed -- in concept -- to a $250,000 offer from developer Rick Byers to help bring threephase electricity to his planned “Austin Woods” development at the 489-acre Gravatt Farm on North West Avenue.

Southside Electric Cooperative has quoted the Town a $466,000 price to extend three-phase from Reservation Road, about three miles east of the site, to the Town’s industrial park, which sits adjacent to the Gravatt property.
