Charles Terrance Williams, 76, of Crewe, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Mary Williams; brother, Ronald Williams; and sisters, Rosaleen Conklin and Carol Burgess. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Gail Berlene Rasnake Williams; two daughters, Gwendolyn Cadieux (Robert) with stepdaughters Ashley Curtis (Zach), children Riley and Kayla, Chris Broderick (Richard), and Andrea Kent (Richard) and daughters Courtney and Corinne. Known by his friends as “Chuck,” Charles was born in Landeck, Ohio. Mr. Williams spent most of his childhood in France, Germany, and Washington, D.C. He married in Arlington, VA and moved to California, where they had two daughters. His work in the space and intelligence communities as an electrical engineer at TRW, moved the family to Australia, Colorado and finally Stafford, VA, before retiring to Crewe. Mr. Williams was an active volunteer and member of the Crewe Railroad Board, as well as a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary, where he taught Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD). The family received friends on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Jennings-McMillian Funeral Home in Crewe. Funeral services were held 12 Noon on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 903 South Main St., Blackstone, VA, with interment to follow at Signal Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
