Burmond Johnson, 78, of Blackstone, VA, died Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital in Lynchburg, VA. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Blackstone, VA.

Ricky Lynn Waugh (“Rick”), age 60, of DeWitt, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at VCU Hospital surrounded by his family.

Mr. Kiam White, 18, of Dinwiddie, died September 19, 2017.

Mrs. Roberta E. Bolling, 103, of Blackstone, died October 1, 2017.

Horace Harper “Doo” Ellett, 87, of Burkeville, VA, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at his home. He is survived by two sons, Horace L. “Von” Ellett and Mark D.

Mr. Reggie Hawkes, 20, of Crewe, died September 19, 2017.

Robert M. Codispoti, age 90, of Blackstone, passed away Friday, September 29, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy S. Codispoti; his daughter, Stacy C.

Mr. Louis W. Ford, Jr., 69, of Connecticut, and formerly of Crewe, died September 21, 2017.

Wilson, Jr., (Gertrude); and brother in-law Sam Morgan, Sr. She leaves to mourn two children, Ethel George (Wilfredo) of New York and Andrew Lawrence, Jr.

NANTUCKET, MASSACHUSETTS-- Elizabeth Rodenhizer Cumby Murray, 94, wife of the late Philip C. Murray, passed away September 26, 2017, at the Nantucket Cottage Hospital.

Carol Winn Perkins, 55, of Blackstone, VA, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017. She is predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Dorothy Porter Winn.

Margaret V. Ritchie died at Heritage Hall in Blackstone, VA on September 28, 2017 while under the care of Hospice of Virginia.

Lynwood F. Spain, 91, of Blackstone, Virginia, died September 29, 2017. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Atkinson Spain; parents, Thomas B. and Nellie F.

Evelyn Brugos Wootton died Thursday, September 28, 2017. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on February 25, 1927, she was the only child of Frank Brugos and Virginia Nemeth Brugos.
