Cougars go 2-1

Nottoway boys improve to 5-5

Grabbing an early, 4-0 lead at the end of three innings, the Nottoway Cougars scored two more runs in the 5th to put away Prince Edward County, 6-3 in a varsity baseball game played at Farmville last Monday (3rd).

Coley Williams pitched four innings for the winners, allowing three earned runs, four hits and four walks to go along with two strike-outs. Ricky Aguilera hurled one inning, giving up no runs, one hit and no walks (no strikeouts). The game was called in the top of the sixth.

D. J. Coleman (double), Josh Gulbronson (single), and Vaughan Robertson (single) had the only clean hits for Nottoway.
