Nottoway boys overcome 8-0 deficit, Cougar hits grand slam, bats for cycle

Nottoway High School’s varsity baseball team improved last week to 3-5 in the James River District with a 5-4 home victory over Central of Lunenburg.

The Cougars scored runs Monday (Apr. 16th) in the bottom of the 1st. Brendon Dumond drove-in two runs with bases loaded. Junior Nick Crater followed with an RBI single, scoring Jordan Hurt.

The Cougars added another run in the the 3rd and the eventual winning run in the 5th with Demaris Anderson scoring on a single by Jordan Hurt.
