Nottoway High School s varsity volleyball team entered this week with a 13-5 overall record after splitting matches last week against Goochland and Lunenburg.

Parents’ Night -- the team’s last regular season home match -- was scheduled yesterday (Tuesday, Oct. 22nd).

The Lady Cougars were swept last Tuesday (15th) at home by the Bulldogs, 3-0 (9-25, 21-25, 16-25). “I’m still proud of their effort,” said Coach Travis Andrews . “We battled every point.”

Ally Vermillion led Nottoway with 4 kills. Bry’on Jenkins returned from a recent eye injury to make 3 kills, and Kayla McCraw also made 3. Jordan Stallard had 15 digs.

Two nights later in Victoria, Nottoway swept the Central of Lunenburg Lady Chargers, 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-11). Vermillion served four aces, McCraw made 5 kills, Stallard made 10 digs, and Lauren Fulford had 7 assists.
