A large “buck of a lifetime” killed last month at Fort Pickett likely will go into the record books as one of Virginia’s largest.

Representatives of Virginia Whitetails last week visited Joshua Collins’ home in Virginia Beach and spent more than an hour measuring his trophy buck’s rack.

Collins killed the buck last month while hunting with his father, Alvey, in Area 55 of Pickett. That part of Pickett is located in Brunswick County.
