SIGH OF RELIEF
Rust from Spring Break nearly ruined a perfect season for the Lady Cougars’ softball team.
Nottoway’s varsity girls survived a scare at home last Tuesday, April 9th, edging Prince Edward, 3-2.
The Lady Cougars improved to 6-0, but it was a far cry from their first five games, which had seen Nottoway outscore its opponents by a combined total of 51-3.
Prince Edward scored its two runs -- both unearned -- in the 1st inning on two Nottoway errors.
