SHAWN ANTHONY ZHE, age 44 Lunenburg grand jury issues 11 direct indictments
A Victoria man is accused of Rape, Aggravated Sexual Battery, Sodomy, and other felony charges against a teenage girl.
Shawn Anthony Zhe, 44, of Victoria, was indicted October 7th by a Lunenburg County grand jury, which returned 11 true bills.
The defendant was familiar with the alleged victim and her family when the alleged pattern of abuse began, said authorities. Direct indictments describe the alleged victim as older than 13 and younger than 17.
Zhe, who is being held at Piedmont Regional Jail in Farmville, was due in Lunenburg Circuit Court yesterday (Tuesday, Oct. 14th), to advise about arrangements for an attorney.
Charges against Zhe include:
•On or about May 8 through May 10, 2025, Aggravated Sexual Battery of the victim “who was 13 years of age but less than 17.”
•On or about July 1, 2024 through July 1, 2025, Aggravated Sexual Battery of the victim “who was 13 years of age but less than 17.” (Two counts).
•On or about July 1, 2024 through July 1, 2025, Rape, having sexual intercourse against the victim’s will by force, threat, or intimidation. (Two counts).
•On or about July 1, 2024 through July 1, 2025, Attempted Sodomy, against the victim’s will by force, threat, or intimidation.
•On or about July 1, 2024 through July 1, 2025, Forcible Sodomy, against the victim’s will by force, threat, or intimidation. (Two counts).
•On or about July 1, 2024 through July 1, 2025, Indecent Liberties with a Child less than 15 Years of Age. (Three counts).
