The last social event at the Pickett Officers Club, which is being sold by Nottoway County for $240,000 to the Ward Burton Wildlife Foundation, will be Amelia County High School’s junior-senior prom, set for April 11th.
County Administrator Steve Bowen said that’s the last scheduled event under Nottoway County ownership. The Foundation plans to transfer the 1942 building to the Dept. of Military Affairs. Pickett brass has said it’s possible the building will still be available for community rentals.
