MeriPage Spencer of Kenbridge recently was elected to membership into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi — the nation’s oldest and among the most selective all-discipline collegiate honor societies at Arkansas State University.
MeriPage serves as Family Engagement & Public Relations Coordinator for Lunenburg County Public Schools. She will graduate May 9th with her Master’s Degree from Arkansas State in Strategic Communications. She currently holds a 4.0 GPA.
She began pursuing her Master’s in May 2024. “It has been an incredibly rewarding experience,” she told the Courier-Record, “and while I have learned a great deal, I am looking forward to completing the program and spending more quality time with my family.”
MeriPage also is a member of the Arkansas State University chapter of Sigma Alpha Pi, the National Society of Leadership and Success.
The former Meredith Hamlett, “MeriPage” is a 1988 graduate of Central High School and 1992 graduate of Radford University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a Public Relations concentration and minor in Speech — Radio & Television.
MeriPage and her husband, The Honorable Calvin S. Spencer, Jr., have three grown children: Ben, a University of Virginia graduate now serving as Assistant Manager at Benchmark Community Bank’s branch in Crewe; Caroline, a UVA grad who’s pursuing her Master’s degree in Child Psychology at James Madison University; and Kate, who’s studying at the College of William & Mary.
The Spencers are proud graduates of Central High.
