For Mother’s Day, Skylar’s Love Mission, led by Shannon Armes (shown here) and husband Tracy of Wilsons, created in their Memorial Buttterly Garden 71 ‘flowers’ in remembrance of 90 children for mothers throughout Virginia and beyond who requested that their child be included.
“And we absolutely love how it blossomed for this special occasion,” said Shanon. Tracy & Shannon created their garden last year, and this was the fourth remembrance activity. “For Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Day, it’s been an honor to remember children gone too soon in our memorial garden and celebrate the love their grieving families have for them.” Skylar’s Love Mission is named in memory of the Armes’ late daughter, Skylar, who was stillborn in October 2016. The couple have become advocates for families coping with loss and difficult times through its charity, Skylar’s Love Mission.
