A Burkeville woman has been charged with assaulting a teacher’s aide at Crewe Primary School.
Nottoway Sheriff Robert Jones said the alleged incident occurred at CPS last Wednesday morning, Jan. 14th and that the suspect is the mother of a special needs student. Jones said the teacher’s aide went to Nottoway Sheriff ’s Office the next night (Thursday), met with a magistrate, and obtained a warrant.
Jones identifies the suspect as Kira Keyona Woods, 29, of Burkeville. Jones said Ms. Woods is free and has an appearance scheduled for March 11th in Nottoway General District Court. Online court records list the complainant as Joan Carter Lee. No injuries were reported, said Jones.
