Blackstone Police Department has three open positions with the departure last week of Officer Emily Mosier.
Officer Mosier, who won praise from her colleagues, was the fifth female officer to serve the department, following Debbie Barnes, Lisa Arthur, Christie Mouser Booth, and Candace Stembridge Ragland.
Officer Mosier is pursuing a new career and has accepted a position with Lunenburg County Public Schools. Her departure leaves the department with Chief Sam Murphy (20 years of service) and these 11 officers:
Lt. Tony Mayton, 22 years of experience;
Cpl. Shay Farley, 17 years;
Cpl. Jeremy Ruppert, 7 years;
Cpl. Seth Myers, 15 years;
Det. Jason Robertson, 17 years;
Ofc. Deven Baugus, 1 year;
Ofc. Dylan Mosier; 2 years
Ofc. Jonathan Marlow, less than 1 year;
Ofc. Jesse Marlow, 3 years;
Ofc. Arthur Rolle, 11 years;
Ofc. Lee Scott (retired, part time), 28 years.
