An alleged drunk motorcyclist wrecked shortly after 12 Noon this past Monday, April 28th in downtown Blackstone.
Chief of Police Sam Murphy said he received a call moments before the crash that an individual was slumped over his motorcycle on East Broad Street. “While on the phone and attempting to get an officer to respond, the caller advised that the male subject left and that they were following the motorcycle.”
Chief Murphy continued, “The caller then advised the subject had wrecked the motorcycle near the intersection of West Broad Street and Brown Street. After having medical personnel check on the individual, Detective Jason Robertson arrested the subject for Driving While Intoxicated.”
Murphy late Monday afternoon said he didn’t have the complete accident report but that the subject was still in custody.
