The Farmville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is inviting youth in grades 6-10 to participate in a community essay contest.
The competition is open to students/youth living in Charlotte, Amelia, Nottoway, Cumberland, Buckingham, and Prince Edward counties.
Participants are asked to submit an essay on Why Voting Matters: The Legacy of Women’s Suffrage. Winners will receive gift card prizes and special recognition by the chapter.
Submissions are now being accepted through April 15th.
