Nottoway School Board members at their March 12th meeting recognized varsity student athletes at Nottoway High for various accomplishments.
BOYS’ BASKETBALL
Ja’Khye Bowden, 1st Team All-District, averaged 16.7 points, 7 Rebounds, and 2 Blocks per game. Season-high 28 points against Lunenburg.
Anton Carter, Jr., 1st Team All-District, averaged 10 points, 10 rebounds per game. Season high of 28 points against Prince Edward.
Jah’mir Crowley, 2nd Team All-District, averaged 8 points, 4 assists per game. Season high of 19 points against Colonial Heights.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
Livia Lee, 1st Team All-District.
INDOOR TRACK
Bradley Hamilton, 1st Team All-District. Region and State Champion in both the 1600-meter run and 3200-meter run.
FOOTBALL
Anton Carter, Jr., 1st Team All-State Football Running Back and Punt Returner. He’ll be attending the University of Richmond on a four-year scholarship.
WRESTLING
Branson Rorrer, 120-lbs., 3rd place at Regionals, State Qualifier (freshman, first-year wrestler).
Elliot Waite, 150-lbs., 2nd place at Regionals, State Qualifier. Senior who finished with 27-4 season record including 20 pins.
Colton Lewis, 165-lbs., 4th place Regionals, State Alternate. Senior with 12-9 season record, who missed several weeks due to injury.
Josh Greene, Heavyweight, 6th place Regionals (sophomore and first-year wrestler).
