Blackstone Town Manager Philip Vannoorbeeck says that ongoing repaving of South Main Street — between Clay’s Garden Center and southern corporate limits — “is nearing completion, with substantial completion scheduled for October 22nd.”
Vannoorbeeck this week told the Courier-Record that the $339,777 project, which began last week, is being funded by a VDOT “State of Good Repair” grant. Colony Construction of Powhatan is the contractor.
Vannoorbeeck said the project is paving only, with no widening of the road included in the current project.
