Blackstone authorities made three arrests over the past week — each over the weekend and each involving misdemeanor charges.
According to Chief of Police Sam Murphy:

Also on Saturday, Feb 28th, a 29-year-old man of Cox Road, Blackstone, was trespassed from Downtown Laundry. (When police say someone “was trespassed,” it means the person has been formally warned by law enforcement or a property owner to leave a specific premises and not return.) While officers notified the individual, it was found that the man had two outstanding warrants for Failure to Appear in Nottoway Courts (misdemeanors). He was released on an unsecured bond.
On Sunday, March 1st, a 19-year-old Dinwiddie man was charged with Petit Larceny (shoplifting) from Wal- Mart, and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor for an incident that occurred on Saturday. The male subject allegedly had a female juvenile companion with him during the shoplifting. Warrants were permitted, and the subject was released on a summons.
