Find a hobby, California Chris
Dear Sir:
So “California Chris” Ellington is trying to condemn School Board member Bill Outlaw for a Trespassing charge. Last time I checked, Mr. Outlaw is innocent until proven guilty.
And Chris keeps saying that I was charged with a crime. In my opinion, he needs to do more homework and check the out-of-state history on another Chris — Blackstone Councilman Chris Page.
“California Chris” also needs to stay in the land of lunatics and worry about his own slimy Governor — Democrat Gavin “Newscum.” Happy Thanksgiving to a loudmouthed turkey.

EDITOR’s NOTE: Mr. Mordan has provided the Courier Record a copy of a letter written by his attorney, John Janson of South Hill, seeking to have a misdemeanor charge expunged from court records. Attorney Janson’s letter said that Mordan won a gun in a raffle after a “bogus” protective order already had been dismissed. Mr. Mordan was charged afterwards for attempting to obtain a gun while a protective order was in place. Mordan says his arrest, however, came 18 months after that protective order already had been dismissed. That 2022 charge was later nol prossed (not prosecuted).
Much for which to be grateful
Dear Sir:
I’m thankful for so much, it’s hard to do it all justice here.
I’m thankful for my family, and I include my Shiloh Baptist Church family in that. I’m thankful that we decided to move to this town, and I’m thankful for the folks that I have met since then!
I’m thankful that we have good neighbors and a quiet neighborhood.
I’m thankful for all the employees and department heads of the Town. I’m thankful for an efficient clerk, a relentless and focused Town Manager, an up and coming grant writer and Director of Community Development, a competent, well-run Water Department, a hard-working sanitation crew, a responsive police and fire department, and more.
I’m thankful for those guys who respond in all kinds of weather when the power goes out to restore electricity to our homes.
I’m thankful for the seven men and women of Town Council who appointed me as interim mayor, and the 939 citizens of the voting public who confirmed their appointment on November 4th, removing the interim tag.
I’m thankful for each and everyone of you, and I hope you have a happy Thanksgiving holiday!
