STILL UNBEATEN IN VCC

But JV girls lose at home to Gators

Kenston Forest’s JV girls’ basketball team suffered its first loss of the season last week but still managed to win two-of-three match-ups and improve to 11-1 (7-0 VCC).

Kenston was defeated at home on Feb. 2nd by the St. Gertrude High School Gators out of Richmond, 36-34. Callie Mize scored 12 points for the JV Lady Kavs, followed by Lauren Hite 11, Brooklyn Thomas 5, Layla Dorin 4, and Reese Edmonds 2.

Kenston took out its frustratrions the next night at Brunswick Academy, rolling 52-21 past the rival Lady Vikings. Mize sored 17, Hite 16, and Thomas 15.

Two nights later (Thursday) at home, the JV Lady Kavs rolled yet again, defeating Central Virginia Christian School, 62-27. Hite scored a career high 20 points, Mize scored 16, Reese Edmonds a career high 14, and Thomas 8 to lead Kenston.
